My ship of woe sorely sails away,
From the golden docks of Heaven.
Your once joyful soul clutching the crumbling edges,
As your hope spills over into nothingness.
I had held you in my foolish dreams,
Smiled at the powder blue surrounding you.
No surprise was it, the darkness we bred into your curls,
Atop a bundle of bright skin & promising bones.
Your imaginary warmth now fades away,
Cold heartedly chilled by the blackened feathers of doubt.
Your undeserving forgiveness I might find under my ship,
Lamentably drowning at the bottom of this quiet ocean.
Years will pass, but I will remember your joyful soul,
The one I had promised to wrap up in skin and bones.
I will find you when my flesh begins to rot,
At the crumbling docks of Heaven..where I hesitantly left you..
